These pork tacos are an easy and delicious way to use any leftover pulled pork you might have in the fridge! From start to finish, they only take about 15 minutes to prepare, so they're perfect for busy weeknights. Your Taco Tuesdays are about to get a whole lot better!
Easy Pulled Pork Tacos
While pulled pork is undeniably delicious the first time around, I would be lying if I said I wasn't looking forward to the leftovers. You can use leftover pulled pork on baked potatoes, add it to bread to make a sandwich, or, my personal favorite, turn it into these tasty tacos!
The tender meat is pan-fried until slightly crispy in a simple yet flavorful taco sauce. All you need then is the tortillas and your favorite toppings!

🔪 How To Make Pork Tacos
Because the pulled pork is already cooked, you just have to quickly sear and simmer it in the sauce, then assemble your tacos! That's it! You'll need your measuring utensils, a mixing bowl, a spatula, and some tongs.
This makes 6 street tacos with 2 ounces of meat per taco.
- Combine the sauce ingredients. Add 2 tablespoons (22.57 milliliters) of lime juice, ½ cup (118.29 milliliters) of chicken broth, ½ tablespoon (1.25 grams) of taco seasoning, and the optional 1 tablespoon (340 grams) of chipotle pepper(s) in adobo sauce and juice of 1 orange (131 grams) if using to a large mixing bowl and stir to combine.
- Add the pulled pork. Mix 12 ounces (340.2 grams) of pulled pork into the liquid until thoroughly combined. Then, heat a large skillet over high heat.
- Sear. Once your pan is hot, add the pulled pork and liquid and spread it into an even layer. Let it sear undisturbed for 2-3 minutes to crisp up, then flip and let it sear on the opposite side until most of the liquid has been absorbed.
- Warm the tortillas. Remove the meat from the pan and set aside. Warm 6 corn or flour tortillas (180 grams) in the hot pan for 20-30 seconds per side, then use tongs to remove them from the heat.
- Assemble your tacos. Add roughly 2 ounces (56.7 grams) of pork taco meat to each tortilla. Then, top them off with your preferred toppings like lettuce, cheese, sour cream, jalapenos, salsa roja, or lime wedges & cilantro.
🥗 What To Serve With Pork Tacos
One of my favorite sides to serve with tacos is Elotes (Mexican street corn)! You could also whip up some tortilla chips with a few sides of Pico de Gallo or guacamole.

💭 Tips & Notes
- Finely chopped pork tenderloin or ground pork can also be used if you don't have any leftover pulled pork on hand.
- You can use any of your favorite taco toppings here! The listed toppings are just a suggestion (and they are not included in the nutritional information below).
- Single corn tortillas are prone to ripping, so many people like to double them up and use 2 tortillas per taco.
🥡 Storing & Reheating
Let the pork taco meat cool completely, then transfer it to a Ziploc storage bag or airtight container. Refrigerate and use within 3-4 days.
Reheating Pork Taco Meat
Add your leftover taco meat to a skillet over medium heat (you can add a splash or two of broth if it seems dry). Cook until warmed through, stirring occasionally.
Freezing Pork Taco Meat
Let the meat cool to room temperature, then transfer it to a Ziploc bag. Squeeze out any excess air and label it with the date. The meat is best used within 3 months and should be defrosted in the fridge overnight before reheating.

❓ Recipe FAQs
Yes, you can prepare the meat and refrigerate it for up to 3 days, then reheat it and assemble your tacos. Wait to add the meat to the tortillas until serving, or they'll get soggy.
You can make them spicier or less spicy by adjusting the amount of chipotle peppers in adobo sauce you use. If you are sensitive to heat, leave them out together. Keep in mind that if you use a store-bought taco seasoning that is spicy, your tacos will be spicy as well. My recipe is only slightly spicy, but you can adjust it as well!
You can customize your tacos to suit your taste. Common toppings include everything from diced onions to jalapenos, lime juice, cheese, and salsa. However, there are no rules as to what you can put on your tacos!
