With St. Patrick’s Day around the corner, I thought it would be fun to round up some themed St. Patty's Day treats and classic Irish recipes to celebrate.
These sweets, treats, snacks, and more are perfect for St. Patrick's Day parties or a cozy day at home. No matter how you celebrate, you don’t have to be Irish to appreciate the fun and lore that comes with this time of year.
1. Crock Pot Corned Beef
Slow-cooked corned beef becomes incredibly tender and flavorful when simmered with aromatic spices, potatoes, carrots, and cabbage. This slow cooker version takes all the hassle out of cooking.
Save your leftovers for an easy corned beef hash breakfast in the morning.
2. Corned Beef and Cabbage
This classic Irish combo features tender corned beef slow-cooked with cabbage, carrots, and potatoes for a hearty one-pot meal. You can quickly make my corned beef and cabbage seasoning at home for the perfect flavor.
Be sure to check out my leftover corned beef recipes for after St. Patrick's Day.
3. Guinness Lamb Stew
This rich and hearty Irish stew is made with tender lamb, root vegetables, and a deep, malty flavor from Guinness beer. Simmered to perfection, this stew is perfect for a hearty dinner on St. Patrick's Day.
4. Lucky Charms Cookies
Soft and chewy sugar cookies loaded with colorful Lucky Charms cereal marshmallows. These fun St. Patty's Day treats are easy to make and perfect for kids and adults alike.
5. Boxty Irish Pancakes
These crispy-on-the-outside, fluffy-on-the-inside potato pancakes are a traditional Irish favorite. Serve them as a savory breakfast or a delicious side dish for an authentic Irish spread.
6. Traditional Irish Soda Bread
My Irish soda bread recipe is made with simple ingredients like flour, buttermilk, and baking soda, this hearty, rustic bread has a slightly tangy flavor and dense texture. Enjoy it warm with butter or alongside your favorite Irish meal
Save your leftovers for one of my all-time favorite soda bread recipes, Irish soda bread pudding.
7. Railway Cake (Spotted Dog)
This lightly sweetened soda bread cake is packed with raisins or currants and has a soft, tender crumb. Traditionally served with butter and jam, it’s perfect for a cozy treat with coffee or tea.
8. Bailey's Irish Cream Chocolate Chip Cookies
These soft and chewy cookies get a boozy upgrade with Bailey’s Irish Cream. Packed with melty chocolate chips and rich, Irish cream flavor, these cookies are hard to beat.

9. Old Fashioned Irish Oatmeal Cake
A moist and spiced oatmeal cake with a coconut topping that adds a delightful crunch. It's an old-school Irish dessert but the flavor still holds strong today.
10. Shepherd's Pie
This is Gordon Ramsay's signature recipe featuring seasoned ground lamb, vegetables, and a creamy mashed potato topping baked until golden. It's pure Irish comfort food that doesn't need any side dishes.
11. Dublin Coddle
Layers of sausage, bacon, potatoes, and onions in a rich, savory broth. Slow-cooked to perfection, it’s a rustic and flavorful stew that’s been a favorite in Ireland for generations.
12. Potato Leek Soup
One of my favorite cold-weather meals, this creamy and velvety soup is made with tender potatoes, mild leeks, and a hint of garlic. This comforting and simple dish is a delicious way to warm up on St. Patrick’s Day.
13. Colcannon
Colcannon is an Irish mashed potato dish made with creamy potatoes, sautéed cabbage or kale, and plenty of butter. Rich, comforting, and packed with flavor, it's a must-have side for any St. Patrick’s Day feast.
14. Irish Potato Candy
Though these cream-filled candies look like potatoes, there are no potatoes involved. They are closer to Mounds candy bars than they are to potatoes.
Cream cheese and shredded coconut are wrapped in a delicious ground cinnamon coating. Best of all, they are no-bake, no-fuss, and no-fail.
15. Lucky Charms Marshmallow Treats
These festive Rice Krispy treats are more fun than they are Irish. However, you won’t hear any complaints if these make an appearance in your St. Pattie’s Day spread.
Rice Krispies treats are classic, and the sweet addition of Lucky Charms makes them “magically delicious”!
16. Irish Nachos
Irish nachos are an incredible appetizer or finger food. All your favorite nacho toppings are piled high on top of thinly sliced potatoes rather than chips.
Though not traditionally Irish, they are frequently on the menu at Irish pubs. If you ask me, I prefer potatoes to chips any day (or try my totchos)!
17. Irish Coffee
For those partaking in the fun adult aspect of St. Pattie’s Day, an Irish coffee makes a great start (or end) to the party. This hot cocktail warms the soul.
The Irish whiskey is mellowed out by velvety cream or whipped cream, so even if you aren’t usually a liquor drinker, you may want to make an exception here! It feels almost like hot chocolate, but way more fun.
18. Rainbow Rice Krispies Treats
You know the old saying “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”? Well, that applies here to these show-stopping Rice Krispies treats.
The only thing different with this recipe is the fun and festive colors. At their core, they are the traditional treats that everybody loves and they are always a hit.
19. Lucky Charms Bark
This is one of my favorites. For all of you Lucky Charms fans out there, this quick and easy-to-make dessert is full of fun and magic.
Think of peppermint bark, but the chocolate portion is made with white chocolate (with a touch of green food coloring), and there are Lucky Charms instead of peppermint.
20. Green Pancakes
Start your day out right with this sumptuous recipe. This is more than throwing a little food coloring in your batter.
This pancake recipe is made from scratch with flour, sugar, and buttermilk. While the taste will be what you know and love from a great pancake, the real fun is the whipped cream and sprinkles on top.
21. Chocolate Chip Mint Bundt Cake
Chocolate and mint have to be the next best thing to chocolate and peanut butter. This Bundt cake has mint chocolate chips, cocoa powder, and sour cream in it making the cake chocolaty and moist.
The secret here is in the frosting though. Peppermint extract is used giving this refreshing bite perfect to enjoy all day long.
22. Four Ingredient Shamrock Fudge
Who says fudge is reserved for the winter holidays? This quick, simple recipe is a party favorite and easy to make.
This is not your average fudge. It utilizes candy melts and vanilla frosting. If you have 10 minutes and need a quick dessert, this one is for you.
23. Shamrock Smoothie
This one is a healthy spin on the popular fast-food drink. If you like to join in on the St. Patrick’s Day festivities but don’t want the sugar high, this recipe is for you.
With Greek yogurt, spinach, and mint leaves you’ll love this healthy and tasty treat without the guilt.
24. Grasshopper Pie
Don’t let the name fool you. This pie is a delicious mousse with an Oreo cookie crust. No grasshoppers involved.
The secret ingredients here are the Crème de Menthe and Crème de Cacao. It’s so good, the Leprechauns do a happy dance every time I make it.
25. Shamrock Cookies
These cookies are your quintessential sugar cookie in the shape of a shamrock. The fun is in the frosting and decorating.
Grab your little leprechauns and have a blast frosting, sprinkling, and trying to save these cookies for later.
26. Lucky Charms Cupcakes with Cereal Milk
These adventurous cupcakes are a lot of fun to make and eat! This recipe takes a box of Lucky Charms cereal and makes enjoyable colorful cupcakes.
Utilizing “cereal milk” from letting a cup of cereal and milk marinate together for 20 minutes adds that extra ‘oomph’ of flavor. If you love to bake and get creative in the kitchen, this is a great recipe to make.
27. Shamrock Shake Cheesecake Bars
This isn’t your traditional cheesecake, it’s better. An Oreo cookie crust holds layers of cream cheese fluff, crème de menthe pudding, and a glaze.
Topped with Lucky Charms this recipe is a decadent treat.
28. Mint Oreo Balls
This three-ingredient recipe is perfect for a St. Patrick’s Day celebration or any day you’re craving a little bite-sized, fun ball of goodness.
These no-bake little morsels just need 20 minutes in the freezer before you can serve them up and watch them disappear.
29. Lucky Charms Leprechaun Snack Mix
If mint chocolate isn’t your thing, then this is a pleasing alternative. With Lucky Charms and Golden Graham’s cereals, M&Ms, and slivered almonds in the mix, this is a fun twist on the traditional party mix.
30. Shamrock Pretzels
Another fun twist for your St. Patrick’s Day celebration. These adorable pretzels are just as pleasing to the eye as they are your taste buds.
The mini pretzels come together to make your shamrock and the stick pretzels serve as your stem. With green candy melts and white chocolate candies, these pretzels are the perfect balance of sweet and salty.
31. Leprechaun Popcorn
This recipe takes your good ol’ standard popcorn and turns it into a fun mix of popcorn and candy. You don’t have to be a die-hard St. Patrick’s Day person to enjoy this festive treat.
Pop in a movie, whip up this treat with your kiddos, and sit back, relax, and enjoy.
