🔪 How To Make Air Fryer Cinnamon Roll Bites
This ultimate breakfast treat is incredibly easy to prepare and ready to serve in minutes! To get started, take out a small mixing bowl, some parchment paper, an air fryer (basket style), silicone kitchen tongs, and a hand mixer.
This cinnamon roll bites recipe will yield 8 servings. There is plenty for the whole family to enjoy!
Air Fry The Cinnamon Roll Bites
- Prep air fryer. Take out your parchment paper and cut it into 2 8-inch round pieces to line the bottom of your air fryer basket.
- Prep rolls. Open the 1 can of cinnamon rolls and split the dough into 8 individual rolls. Set the icing aside. Use a sharp knife to slice each roll into 4 pieces. Put 16 pieces in the bottom of the air fryer basket at a time.
- Cook. Set your air fryer to 325°F (160°C) and cook the cinnamon roll pieces for 3 minutes. Take your silicone tong and flip over each piece, then cook for an additional 2-3 minutes or until they reach a golden brown color. Remove the cinnamon roll bites from the air fryer and repeat with the last 16 pieces.
Mix Cinnamon Sugar & Coat The Bites
- Mix. In a large resealable Ziploc storage bag or a shallow bowl, mix the ⅓ cup of granulated sugar and ½ teaspoon of ground cinnamon together.
- Coat with cinnamon sugar. Place your warm cinnamon roll bites into the bag, seal it, then shake to coat them with the sugar mixture. If using a bowl, simply roll the air-fried cinnamon roll bites until well coated. Serve immediately with dipping icing.
Make The Dipping Icing
- Beat. In a small mixing bowl, use a hand mixer at medium speed to blend the 4 ounces of cream cheese and 1 tablespoon of butter together until you reach a smooth consistency.
- Mix. Add in the 1 cup of Confectioners' sugar, 2 teaspoons of milk, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and the original icing from the cinnamon rolls. Set aside for dipping cinnamon rolls bites.
For a more balanced meal, you could serve cinnamon roll bites with savory breakfast food. I love making microwave eggs and air fryer sausage patties to go with them. Enjoy!
💭 Angela's Tips & Recipe Notes
- 1 can of Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls with Original Icing is equal to a 12.4 oz, or 8-count package. If using the Pillsbury Grands Cinnamon Rolls (a 5-count package), cut your cinnamon rolls into 6 pieces rather than 4.
- Heat the included icing in a short 15-second increment in your microwave to make it easier to pour into the icing mixture.
- 4 ounces of cream cheese is the equivalent of a ½ 8-ounce standard package.
- You do not have to preheat your air fryer for this recipe. A preheated air fryer could overcook the cinnamon roll bites.
🥡 Storing
You may store any leftover bites in an airtight container at room temperature for 1-2 days.
To freeze your cinnamon rolls bites and prepare them ahead of time, you may still cut the 8 rolls into 4 pieces. Place your cinnamon bites into a freezer-safe storage bag and freeze raw before you air fry them. Once you are ready to serve, take the storage bag out of the freezer and let the bites thaw in the fridge. Continue with cooking and dusting them with sugar afterward.
