🔪 Instructions
Shucking the oysters is the most challenging part; if that's already done, the rest is a snap! You'll need tall shot glasses, measuring utensils, a chilled mixing bowl, and a silicone spatula.
8 oysters are enough for 8 individual shots. You can scale the recipe up using the '2X' and '3X' functions on the recipe card below!

💭 Angela's Pro Tips & Notes
- To save time and the hassle of shucking oysters, get them from your local seafood market, where they will do this for you.
- In place of a lemon wedge, you can garnish the shooters with a thin slice of celery (the greens attached look great).
- Many people like to rub the edge of each shot glass with lemon and dip it in Old Bay seasoning for a zesty rim!
- A few dashes of hot sauce are another fan favorite in oyster shooters!
- Consuming raw oysters can pose health risks, as they may contain harmful bacteria that can cause foodborne illnesses. To reduce the risk, purchase oysters from a reputable source, store them properly and serve immediately after shucking. Read more here.

❓ Can I Make Oyster Shooters In Advance?
Raw oysters should be consumed as soon as possible, but you can use jarred oysters to save some prep time.
However, you can mix the clamato/cocktail sauce and slice your lemons in advance. The sauce will last a few months, refrigerated in an airtight jar or container!
The lemons can be sliced 2-3 days in advance, any longer, and they tend to dry out.
