Even better, there’s still a perfect use for any unused portion of your sauce when you make up some prime rib sandwiches. Slather a nice layer of the creamy horseradish sauce on your sandwich roll and enjoy it yet again!
If you haven’t tried a horseradish sauce before, or it wasn’t quite to your taste when you tried it in the past…give this version a try for a pleasant surprise. It is, hands down, my favorite! And once upon a time I was not a fan of horseradish at all (gasp!). So now I use horseradish to make my own sauce. It never disappoints!
*Make this a day ahead of holiday meals and refrigerate until ready to serve.
Creamy Horseradish Sauce
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup horseradish (prepared)
- 1 Tbsp Dijon mustard (coarse ground)
- salt & pepper (to taste)
- Combine sour cream, prepared horseradish, and coarse ground Dijon mustard until well combined. Taste, and add salt and pepper to taste. Store in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
