❓ Recipe FAQs
You can purchase prepared horseradish at the store or make it yourself. It consists of horseradish root, vinegar, and salt. Prepared horseradish is simply an ingredient within horseradish sauce that also includes other items like sour cream and Dijon mustard.
Horseradish itself has a very pungent, hot, and spicy flavor. This is why it is typically paired with vinegar and salt to make prepared horseradish (which is still hot and spicy).
Typically, it is a perfect match with prime rib! Additionally, it tastes fantastic with other meaty entrees like beef tenderloin or steak. For some incredibly bold flavors, you can use it to make some deviled eggs or spicy potato salad!
