    🥘 Bacon Aioli Ingredients

With 4 basic ingredients, plus some seasonings, you'll be ready to whip up some bacon aioli in a snap! Use high-quality ingredients for the best results!

    • Mayonnaise - 1 cup of mayonnaise. I recommend using Hellman's, Duke's, or trying out my homemade recipe.
    • Garlic - 1 tablespoon of minced garlic (about 3 cloves).
    • Lemon Juice - 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. You can use fresh or store-bought.
    • Seasonings - ¼ teaspoon of salt, pepper, and smoked paprika (or paprika).
    • Bacon - ¼ cup of bacon, cooked and chopped into small pieces. This will be approximately 4 slices. You can cook it yourself or buy pre-cooked bacon.

🔪 How To Make Bacon Aioli

Making aioli is literally just blending the ingredients together (so it is super easy!) You will need your food processor (or blender), your measuring utensils, a silicone spatula, and a Mason jar to store it in.

This recipe will make slightly more than 1 cup of aioli.

    1. Add. In the bowl of your food processor, add 1 cup (224 grams) of mayonnaise, 1 tablespoon (8 grams) of garlic, 1 tablespoon (15 milliliters) of lemon juice, and ¼ teaspoon each of salt (1.5 grams), pepper (1.5 grams), and smoked paprika (0.5 grams).
    2. Blend. Pulse using 30-second increments until the ingredients are thoroughly combined and smooth.
    3. Stir. Stir in ¼ cup of cooked bacon and add more salt and pepper, if needed.
    4. Serve. Top your aioli with more bacon crumbles and serve immediately or store in the fridge for later.

Add a schmear of your bacon aioli to some baked cheeseburgers, pinwheel sandwiches, or a chicken club sandwich! It also makes a great dipping sauce for air fryer French fries!

    💭 Angela's Tips & Recipe Notes

    • 4 slices of bacon is equivalent to ¼ cup of chopped bacon.
    • Use high-quality mayonnaise since it acts as the base of your aioli. I enjoy using Duke's or Hellman's for store-bought options, or you can try out my homemade mayonnaise!
    • When cooking the bacon beforehand, I recommend making it nice and crispy for the best results.

    🥡 Storing

Keep your bacon aioli stored in a sealed container in the fridge for a maximum of 1 week.

    ❓ FAQ

Can I Make Bacon Aioli Without A Food Processor?

Sure! A blender would be another fantastic option to ensure a smooth consistency. However, you could also whisk everything together by hand, but it won't be nearly as smooth.

    Can Bacon Aioli Be Frozen?

No, I don't recommend freezing your aioli. Since mayonnaise is an emulsion, it tends to separate when thawed, and you will lose the creamy texture.

Can I Make Aioli Without Mayonnaise?

Sure! Traditional aioli is actually a combination of garlic and olive oil and doesn't use mayonnaise at all. While this is an easy substitution, it will alter the flavor and consistency of your aioli.
