🥘 Air Fryer Garlic Bread Ingredients
Just a few simple ingredients, and you're on the way to some of the best garlic toast ever! Trust me; you'll want to keep them stocked to make this easy side dish over and over again.
- Baguette - 1 baguette, or you can use a bakery loaf, french bread, rustic bread, sandwich roll, etc.
- Butter - 8 tablespoons of butter (softened, unsalted, or you can use a butter substitute). Try using good quality European butter for extra richness.
- Parmesan Cheese - 3 tablespoons of freshly grated Parmesan.
- Italian Seasoning - 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning. A little goes a long way; adjust for your taste. Both dried Italian seasoning and the tube of herb paste work (this can be found in your grocery store's produce aisle).
- Garlic - ½ teaspoon minced garlic. You can use minced, fresh, or use jarred minced garlic from the store.
- Salt & Pepper - ½ teaspoon of each salt & pepper. To taste, however, I wouldn't suggest any more salt as the Parmesan has a good amount of salt in it.

🔪 How To Make Air Fryer Garlic Bread
Air fryer recipes tend to be super simple, and this garlic bread is no exception! To begin, you will need an air fryer (basket or convection style), a cutting board, a small mixing bowl, a sharp knife, and some measuring utensils.
This recipe will make 8 slices of tasty garlic bread! You can always make more if needed; make sure that you don't overcrowd the air fryer so that each slice cooks evenly.
- Preheat. Set your air fryer temperature to 360°F (182°C) to preheat while you prepare the garlic spread.
- Slice bread. Cut your baguette or loaf in half, then again lengthwise or into small enough slices to fit into the air fryer.
- Combine ingredients. In a small bowl, add the 8 tablespoons butter, 3 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese, 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning, ½ teaspoon minced garlic, ½ teaspoon salt, and ½ teaspoon pepper. Mix together well.
- Air fry until golden. Spread over one side of the baguette, then place the bread buttered side up into the air fryer. Bake at 360°F (182°C) for 4 to 6 minutes or until golden and bubbly. Add a minute or two if you like your garlic bread extra crispy!
- Serve immediately. Remove from the air fryer and serve while warm.
💭 Tips & Notes
- You can substitute the baguette for bakery-style French bread. Just be sure to double or even triple the garlic bread spread! (based on the size of your bread)
- Be sure to mince your garlic into very small pieces. No one wants to bite into a big chunk of garlic.
- Use softened butter for easy mixing. Just let your butter sit out at room temperature.
- If you use salted butter, omit the added salt to the recipe.
- Preheat your air fryer. Preheating does make a difference in this case, and you'll get a better crisping on your garlic bread.
- Cooking times may vary. Different model air fryers cook at different temps and times.
🥡 Storing & Reheating
Allow the bread to cool completely, then store it in an airtight container or Ziploc bag in the refrigerator for up to 2-3 days. Or you could simply wrap them in aluminum foil as well.
Freezing
If you want to freeze leftovers, wrap them tightly in plastic wrap or aluminum foil, then place the bread in a resealable plastic bag or a freezer-safe container. It will keep well in the freezer for up to 2-3 months.
Allow it to thaw in the fridge, and follow the reheating instructions below.
Reheating
Preheat your air fryer to 360°F (182°C) for a few minutes. Place your leftover garlic bread into the air fryer and heat it for 2-3 minutes or until it is heated through and crispy.

❓ Recipe FAQs
In this case, it does help to preheat your air fryer before the garlic bread bakes. Preheating will help you get a crispier crust on the slices of bread. However, just note that it is not necessary to preheat your air fryer for most air fryer recipes.
You technically can use any type of bread to make air fryer garlic bread. However, crusty bread such as a baguette, ciabatta, rustic bread, or French bread will give you the best results as it crisps up nicely in the air fryer!
Yes! If you don't have any butter on hand, you can simply replace it with extra virgin olive oil or any other butter substitute that you may have in your kitchen.
