🥘 Slow Cooker Ranch Chicken Ingredients
5-ingredients are all it takes to whip up this easy and flavorful meal! I like to keep these items stocked at all times so that I know I always have this crockpot dish as a dinner option!
- Chicken Broth - ¾ cup of chicken broth.
- Ranch Dressing Mix - 1 ounce of ranch dressing mix (or 1 packet).
- Chicken - 2 pounds of boneless, skinless chicken breasts.
- Cream of Chicken - 10½ ounces (or 1 can) of cream of chicken condensed soup.
- Cream Cheese - 8 ounces (or 1 block) of room temperature cream cheese, cubed.
- Cheddar Cheese (optional) - ¼ cup of shredded cheddar cheese for garnish.

🔪 How To Make Slow Cooker Ranch Chicken
Like most slow cooker recipes, this dish is exceptionally simple to prepare! As an added bonus, everything is combined and cooked in the slow cooker, so you won't be needing any extra dishes!
This recipe will make about 8 servings, so you can enjoy some ranch chicken for lunch tomorrow!
- Add. Add ¾ cup of chicken broth and 1 ounce of ranch dressing mix to your slow cooker and mix until combined. Then, place 2 pounds of chicken breasts into the mixture.
- Cook. Place the lid onto the crockpot and cook on low for 6 hours (or on high for 2½-3 hours).
- Shred the chicken. Remove the cooked chicken from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks. Then, return the shredded chicken to the crockpot.
- Melt. Stir in 10½ ounces of condensed cream of chicken soup and the cubed 8 ounces of cream cheese. Replace the lid and cook on low heat for an additional 30 minutes or until the cream cheese has melted.
- Serve. Serve over rice, potatoes, or noodles, garnished with the optional shredded ¼ cup of cheddar cheese if desired.

Ranch packets have the same great ranch flavor but in a highly concentrated seasoning mix. In order to get the same flavor output with ranch dressing, you would need several cups, which would be too much additional liquid for the recipe.
For tender and juicy chicken, you'll want to use low heat over a longer period of time. However, high heat will still cook some tasty chicken; it just won't be as tender.
