Easy Sauteed Peppers & Onions
Peppers & onions are a classic combination that brings a burst of flavor and color to any meal. Sauteing these two vegetables together creates a dish that is easy to make, healthy, and incredibly delicious!

🥘 Peppers & Onions Ingredients
Pick up some fresh green bell peppers and yellow onions from your local grocery! The rest of the ingredients are kitchen staples and most likely in your pantry already.
- Olive Oil - 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil (EVOO).
- Green Bell Pepper - 2 medium sliced green bell peppers.
- Onion - 2 medium sliced yellow onions.
- Garlic Powder - ½ teaspoon of garlic powder.
- Salt & Pepper - ¼ teaspoon of each, salt & pepper, to taste.

🔪 How To Make Peppers & Onions
If you've never made peppers & onions before, you're in for a real treat. They're incredibly easy to make and only take a total of 20 minutes! Take out a wooden spoon, a skillet, and a knife set to begin.
Two medium onions and green bell peppers will make around 4 servings! You can always make more if you work in batches and avoid overcrowding your skillet.
- Heat oil. Place a large skillet over medium heat and add 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil.
- Saute. Once the oil begins to shimmer, add the 2 medium sliced peppers, 2 medium sliced onions, and ½ teaspoon of garlic powder. Saute, stirring occasionally, for about 5 minutes.
- Add salt & pepper. Season with ¼ teaspoon of salt and ¼ teaspoon of pepper to taste, and continue to saute the peppers and onions for another 10-15 minutes or until tender.
- Serve. Once cooked, remove from the heat and serve immediately.
These tasty peppers and onions add a pop of color, flavor, and texture to any meal! I like to serve them with my grilled chicken thighs or use them as a topping on my baked cheeseburgers. Enjoy!

- I used green bell pepper and yellow onion. However, you could easily make a more colorful combination with red, orange, yellow, or green bell peppers and white, yellow, or red onions to make tasty fajita peppers and onions!
