🥘 Christmas Fudge Ingredients
With only 4 ingredients, this fudge truly can't get any easier! You may already have these items on hand, but if not, swing by the baking aisle of your grocery store to pick them up!
- Sweetened Condensed Milk - 14 ounces of sweetened condensed milk to act as the base of the fudge.
- Chocolate Chips - 2 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips (or a 12-ounce package). I prefer to use the mini variety as they melt easily!
- Vanilla - 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract to add some depth to the flavor.
- Sprinkles - 2 tablespoons of your favorite Christmas sprinkles for an extra festive touch!

🔪 How To Make Christmas Fudge
The hardest part of this recipe is just waiting for the fudge to set up in the fridge! When you are ready to begin, just grab your 8x8 baking dish, a microwave-safe bowl, and a rubber spatula!
Depending on how large you cut the squares of fudge, you will have about 12 servings.
- Prepare. To get started, line an 8x8 baking dish with parchment paper and lightly spritz it with nonstick cooking spray, allowing some of the paper to hang over the edges so you can easily remove the fudge.
- Combine. In a large microwave-safe bowl, add 14 ounces of sweetened condensed milk and 2 cups of chocolate chips.
- Melt the chocolate. Microwave on high power for 30 seconds, and then stir. Continue to microwave the chocolate in 15-second increments, stirring in between each session until the chocolate has melted. Alternating between short bursts in the microwave and stirring will help to avoid burning the chocolate.
- Add vanilla. Once melted, stir in 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract.
- Transfer to a dish. Pour the fudge into the prepared dish and use an offset spatula or knife to smooth out the top.
- Make them festive. Add your Christmas sprinkles evenly over the top of the fudge.
- Chill. Transfer the dish to the refrigerator and allow it to set for at least one hour.
- Slice and serve. Once set, lift the fudge out of the dish and slice it evenly into squares before serving.
This simple Christmas dessert is a perfect way to enjoy the holidays! Don't worry about leftovers as I'm sure these will be gobbled right up! Enjoy!
💭 Angela's Pro Tips & Notes
- You can choose to use any kind of chocolate chips you like! I used semi-sweet, but dark chocolate is a great option, too.
- I used mini chocolate chips because they melt so easily!
- If you like, you can always mix in ¾ cup of your favorite kind of nuts like walnuts, pecans, or peanuts!
- You can use any of your favorite Christmas-themed sprinkles to add some festive touches!
🥡 Storing
Keep any leftover fudge in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks. Storing fudge in the fridge (after initially setting the fudge) will result in dry, crumbly fudge that is simply not as delicious as it could be.
This fudge can also be stored in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 3 months. I recommend wrapping your individual pieces with waxed paper, then with a layer of cling film before storing.
❓ Recipe FAQs
Sweetened condensed milk is the best option when it comes to making fudge. You can technically use either one, but if you use evaporated milk then you will have to add in sugar as well and you lose out on the distinct rich and sweet caramel flavor that comes with the sweetened condensed milk.
You can use any of your favorite chocolate chips or baker's chocolate bars for this simple recipe! I used semi-sweet mini chocolate chips, but dark chocolate would be incredibly tasty as well!
There are a ton of different recipes and varieties of fudge out there. This simple recipe is incredibly easy to make as it does not require boiling the sugar to a certain temperature.
