🥘 Breakfast Sausage Seasoning Ingredients
These herbs and spices are incredibly common and you may even have most (if not all) of them! If you are missing any then you can easily snag them on a quick grocery run!
- Sage - 1 teaspoon of ground sage.
- Thyme - ½ teaspoon of ground thyme.
- Fennel - ½ teaspoon of fennel seeds that are finely crushed or ground.
- Salt & Pepper - ¼ teaspoon each of salt and pepper. Feel free to adjust this to your taste.
- Nutmeg - ⅛ teaspoon of ground nutmeg.
- Red Pepper Flakes - A pinch of red pepper flakes (or more, if you like some serious spice!)

🔪 How To Make Breakfast Sausage Seasoning
There is nothing easier than simply mixing together some spices! Grab a small bowl, your measuring utensils, and an airtight spice jar to store it in!
This recipe will make about 2⅝ teaspoons of breakfast sausage seasoning which is the perfect amount for about 1 pound of meat.
- Mix. Measure all of your spice blend ingredients (1 teaspoon of sage, ½ teaspoon of both thyme and ground fennel, ¼ teaspoon of both salt and pepper, ⅛ teaspoon of nutmeg, and a pinch of red pepper flakes) into a small bowl, grinding the fennel seeds first if needed. Then mix to combine.
- Season. Use the spice blend to season 1 pound of ground meat for breakfast sausage, or transfer it into an airtight storage container to use later.
