🔪 How To Make Pretzel Hearts For Valentine's Day
These hearts are so simple that you can let your kids make them all independently. You only need a baking sheet, parchment paper, a microwave-safe bowl, a plastic bag, and a silicone spatula.
This recipe will yield 48 pretzel hearts, making it perfect for parties or large groups.
Step 1: Prepare. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and line up 48 mini pretzel twists by making six rows of eight pretzels on the baking sheet.
Step 2: Melt the chocolate. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt 6 ounces (170 grams) of white chocolate chips, stirring to ensure they don’t burn every 30 seconds. Transfer melted white chocolate into a parchment bag or zip bag, cutting a small hole in the tip of the bag.
Step 3: Assemble. Pipe melted white chocolate inside the pretzel to form a heart shape and immediately add one of the 48 Valentine's Day conversation hearts in the middle. Repeat the process with the remaining ingredients.
Step 4: Set. Chill pretzels until set, about 30 minutes. Separate from parchment paper and store in a dry, airtight container or bag as treats.

💠Angela's Pro Tips & Notes
- Add more decorations. To make these extra festive, you could use food dye to color the melted white chocolate before piping it onto the pretzels. Or, add some sanding sugar or sprinkles after placing the conversation hearts.
- Don't burn the chocolate. Make sure to stir your chocolate every 30 seconds. This prevents it from burning.
- Let the chocolate harden. Allow your hearts to be fully set before trying to move them. To speed up the process, place them into the refrigerator.
- Store them for later. Keep your pretzel hearts in an airtight container at room temperature for 1-2 weeks.
