🥘 Creamy Avocado Ranch Ingredients

Take a look at this simple ingredient list! Make sure your avocado is perfectly ripe by gently pressing on it- it should be slightly soft but not mushy.

  • Sour Cream – ⅓ cup of sour cream.
  • Buttermilk – ¼ cup of buttermilk.
  • Avocado – ½ of a large avocado, diced.
  • Garlic – 1 teaspoon of minced garlic.
  • Lime Juice – 2 tablespoons of lime juice (*see note).
  • Salt - ⅛ teaspoon of kosher salt.
  • Pepper – 1 pinch of ground black pepper (*see note).

*Be sure to see the recipe card below for ingredients, amounts, & instructions!*

🔪 How To Make Taco Bell Creamy Avocado Ranch Sauce

This recipe is all made in the food processor, so you won’t have a ton of dishes to clean! The only things you’ll need are your food processor (or blender), a knife, and a rubber spatula!

This recipe will give you 4 servings of creamy sauce, so feel free to double or triple the batch as needed.

  1. Blend. To begin, add ⅓ cup of sour cream, ¼ cup of buttermilk, ½ of a large avocado, a teaspoon of minced garlic, 2 tablespoons of lime juice, ⅛ teaspoon of salt, and a pinch of pepper to your blender or food processor and then pulse until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  2. Transfer. Afterward, transfer the sauce to a bowl and cover it tightly with plastic wrap or into a mason jar with a lid.
  3. Chill. Allow your sauce to chill in the refrigerator for 2 hours before serving.
  4. Serve. Make sure to stir before serving and use as a dip for chips or a sauce for burritos, tacos, or quesadillas.

Use this yummy Taco Bell creamy avocado ranch sauce for some prime rib quesadillas or shredded chicken tacos! Additionally, you can enjoy it as a tasty dip for some tortilla chips or even totchos- perfect for game day!

💭 Angela's Pro Tips & Recipe Notes

  • 1 pinch of anything is equal to ¹⁄₁₆ teaspoon.
  • When you juice 1 average lime, it will yield approximately 2 tablespoons (or 1 fluid ounce) of freshly squeezed lime juice.
  • Regular milk can be used in place of buttermilk if needed.
  • Feel free to tweak the taste of your sauce by adding in some red pepper flakes for heat or onion powder for extra flavor!
  • To store: This sauce should be kept in an airtight container in the refrigerator and is best enjoyed within 3-4 days. Freezing is not recommended.

❓ What Does Avocado Ranch Sauce Taste Like?

This Taco Bell creamy avocado ranch sauce has a flavor that is similar to guacamole and ranch dressing mixed together. Yum!

❓ Is Taco Bell Creamy Avocado Ranch Sauce Vegan?

This creamy sauce does contain dairy products so it is not vegan. To make it vegan, substitute the sour cream for a vegan yogurt and replace the buttermilk with a vegan, dairy-free alternative like almond milk.

❓ What Can I Serve With This Creamy Avocado Ranch Sauce?

This sauce will taste great with so many different things! It pairs well with chicken, beef, and pork. It can be used with tacos, taquitos, burritos, chips, or even used as a salad dressing. To put it simply, it can really go with anything you want!
