🔪 How To Make Steak Stir Fry

This recipe is incredibly easy. All you need to do is sear the meat, saute the veggies, and then toss everything together! You will need a wok (or another large skillet), a wooden spoon, a cutting board, and a knife.

This will make enough food for 4 servings, perfect for a quick and easy family dinner!

    1. Sear the meat. Add 1 tablespoon of coconut oil (or your preferred cooking oil) to a large skillet or wok and place it over medium-high heat. Sear the 1 pound of sliced beef top sirloin until no longer pink, and then remove it from the pan and set it aside.
    2. Sear the veggies. Carefully wipe the wok clean (if desired) and add the second tablespoon of oil and sear 1 sliced large red pepper, 1 cup of carrots, 1 cup of celery, 2 cups of broccoli florets, 4 ounces of sliced mushrooms, and 8 ounces of snow peas until tender-crisp.
    3. Toss. Add the cooked meat back into the wok with 1¼ cups of stir-fry sauce and toss until well-coated. Cook and stir for 1-2 minutes until fully heated.
    4. Serve. Remove from the heat and serve immediately, garnished with optional chopped 5 green onions.

Serve your stir fry alongside some quick and easy potstickers and spring rolls for an Asian-themed meal! It will be a hit with the whole family! Enjoy!

    💭 Angela's Tips & Recipe Notes

    • If you want your stir fry to be lighter on the sauce, start with ¾ cup of stir-fry sauce and add more as desired.
    • Slice your steak against the grain to make the meat extra tender. You'll also want the strips to be similar in size so that they cook at the same rate.
    • For a spicy variation, add 1-2 teaspoons of chili paste to the stir fry.

    🥡 Storing & Reheating

Store your leftover stir fry in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.

    Reheating Steak Stir Fry

Reheat leftovers either in the microwave or on the stovetop with a small bit of cooking oil.

    ❓ FAQ

What Steak Is Best For Stir-Fry?

You can easily find pre-cut beef at the store. Or, you can use sirloin (like I did in this recipe), tri-tip, ribeye, tenderloin, flat iron, or any other tender beef cut. Simply slice the beef into strips, and you are ready to go!

Can I Use Frozen Vegetables In Steak Stir-Fry?

While I do love using fresh veggies, you can easily use frozen ones that you may already have on hand. You don't need to thaw them before using them, either. Just toss them into the hot wok after the meat has been removed and saute until tender-crisp.

Can I Use A Regular Frying Pan Instead Of A Wok For Stir Fry?

A wok is ideal for making stir fry because you can easily stir and toss the food without it falling out of the pan. However, you can also make stir fry using a regular skillet, and it will come out tasting exactly the same!
