🔪 How To Make English Muffin Pizzas
These miniature pizzas are both quicker and simpler to make than traditional pizzas. All you will need is a baking sheet, a knife, and a cheese grater.
This recipe will make 8 mini pizzas, which is 4 servings (one English muffin makes two pizzas).
- Preheat. Preheat your oven to 400°F (205°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Drizzle. Place the split 4 English muffins onto the baking sheet with the cut side facing up and drizzle them with ½ tablespoon of olive oil.
- Toast. Toast the muffins in the oven until they are just beginning to turn golden, about 3-4 minutes. Then, remove them from the oven.
- Assemble. Divide ¾ cup of pizza sauce and spoon it onto each toasted muffin, and then top them with portions of 1 cup of mozzarella cheese and 16 slices of pepperoni (or any of your preferred toppings).
- Bake. Return the baking sheet to the oven and bake them for 10 minutes or until the cheese has melted. Serve immediately.
Depending on how you choose to load up your pizza, these could easily be a meal all on their own! However, you could also pair them with some roasted red potato wedges or fresh fruit salad! Enjoy!
💭 Tips & Notes
- Of course, you can use any of your favorite toppings, and you don't have to be limited to only pepperoni! Try out some sausage, bacon, mini pepperoni, spinach, or mushrooms.
- Use your favorite variety of pizza sauce! It can be classic tomato-based sauce, pesto, or alfredo!
- Toasting your English muffins before adding the topping is the key to preventing them from becoming soggy. You can toast them in the oven, in a toaster oven, or the toaster.
🥡 Storing & Reheating
Keep your English muffin pizzas stored in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 1 week. Make sure to keep them in a single layer so the cheese and toppings don't stick to each other.
Freezing English Muffin Pizzas
Toast and assemble your English muffin pizzas, but place them onto a baking sheet in the freezer instead of cooking them. After 2 hours, you can transfer them to a freezer-safe container, separating them using parchment paper.
Reheating English Muffin Pizzas
You can reheat your pizzas in the microwave, oven, or toaster oven. To bake from frozen, just bake on a baking sheet as directed for 13-15 minutes.

❓ Recipe FAQs
Yes, you can assemble the pizzas and refrigerate them for a few hours before baking. However, they are best served immediately after baking. For longer storage, you can freeze the unbaked pizzas.
You can add any of your favorite pizza toppings! Some popular options include peppers, onions, olives, mushrooms, pineapple, spinach, sausage, and mini pepperoni.
You can use your favorite kind! I enjoy using plain English muffins with no added flavorings so that I can completely customize the flavor myself. Choose either whole wheat or white muffins, and use your favorite brand to ensure the best results!
