🔪 How To Make Christmas Monster Cookies
You're going to be so impressed with how easy (and delicious) these cookies are! You are going to need a baking sheet, your stand mixer, some measuring utensils, and a small bowl.
This recipe will make approximately 2 dozen cookies, depending on how large you scoop them.
Prepare the Dough
Step 1: Preheat. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C/Gas Mark 4) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
Step 2: Cream. Cream together ½ cup (113.5 grams) of butter, ¾ cup (165 grams) of light brown sugar, and ¼ cup (50 grams) of sugar in a mixing bowl or the bowl of your stand mixer, until fluffy and light, about 1-2 minutes.
Step 3: Combine. Mix in 1 large egg (50 grams), ½ cup (129 grams) of creamy peanut butter, and 2 teaspoons (10 milliliters) of vanilla extract until combined. Then, add 1 cup (125 grams) of all-purpose flour and ½ teaspoon (2 grams) of baking powder and mix just until combined (do not over-mix). Stir in 1¼ cups (101 grams) of old-fashioned rolled oats until evenly distributed.
Step 4: Fold. Gently fold 1 cup (236 grams) of Christmas M&Ms and ½ cup (90 grams) of white chocolate chips into the cookie dough.
Portion & Bake
Step 5: Portion. Portion out the dough into balls roughly 2 tablespoons in size. Pour â…“ cup (53 grams) of Christmas sprinkles into a shallow dish or plate and press the top of each cookie dough ball into the sprinkles.
Step 6: Add the topping. Then, take the remaining ½ cup (118 grams) of M&Ms and ¼ cup (45 grams) of white chocolate chips and gently press some of each into the top (the sprinkle side) of each cookie dough ball.
Step 7: Bake. Place the cookie dough balls on your prepared cookie sheet with 2 inches of space between each cookie and put it on the center of the middle rack in your oven. Bake until the edges of the cookies are lightly browned, around 11-13 minutes.
Step 8: Cool. Remove them from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire cooling rack to finish cooling completely.
💠Tips & Notes
- You may substitute the white chocolate chips for traditional semi-sweet chocolate chips or any other flavor.
- To give these cookies as gifts, you can package them in gift tins, place them on a festive paper plate, and wrap them up in colored cellophane, or put them in Glad® Holiday Edition plastic containers!
- You can make the dough up to 1 month in advance and freeze it. Just follow the directions all the way up to baking them and place them in a single layer in a few heavy-duty freezer bags. Freeze for up to 1 month. Keep in mind that the color from the M&Ms may spread. Also, be sure to thaw them in the fridge before baking because the frozen cookie dough will not spread as it should.

To make the monster cookies without peanut butter, I would just add semi-sweet and white chocolate chips to this base recipe. https://bakeitwithlove.com/christmas-mm-cookies/
