Air fryer frozen waffles are the best and easiest way to make waffles, so grab your favorite waffles and enjoy a quick, delicious breakfast! Crispy on the outside, light and fluffy on the inside, the air fryer is the best way to make perfectly cooked waffles!
Air fryers are the new toaster when it comes to waffles!
I still remember the “Leggo my Eggo” commercials from back in the day. As a kid who saw frozen waffles as a special treat, I often found myself thinking about that at breakfast.
Even today, frozen waffles are a quick and easy option for people on the go in the morning. With an air fryer, you can pop them in, make your coffee, and grab the syrup just in time for the timer to ring.

With all the kitchen devices we are presented within this day and age, we all find ourselves having to make choices about what gets to stay on the counter. If you use your air fryer more than your toaster, you should know that you can use it to the same effect when it comes to waffles!
Needless to say, if you’re in a hurry or have kids, it’s an easy way to get everyone moving in the morning with whatever kind of waffles you prefer.
❤️ Why I Love This Recipe
Super Quick! You’ll have breakfast in just 7 minutes!
Great Texture! As with most things, the air fryer creates a delicious crispy outside!
It's Easy! There’s really not much to it!
🥘 Ingredients
There are no surprise ingredients here. Get creative with your toppings to keep it interesting.
- 2 Frozen Waffles - Eggos© are great, but any of your favorite brands will do!
- 1 tablespoon Butter - Honey-cinnamon butter is an amazing way to add some extra flavor!
- Syrup - Jam or nut butter are also fun ways to shake things up.
🔪 Instructions
It’s as easy as it sounds. The only thing you’ll need is an air fryer, a few minutes, and an appetite!.
- Put waffles in basket. Arrange 2 frozen waffles in a single layer, flat against the air fryer basket. No need to grease the basket first.
- Cook. Bake at 400℉ (205℃) for 3 minutes before flipping it. Cook for another 2 minutes. It should be golden and to your desired level of crispness when you take it out.
- Add toppings and eat. Spread on some butter and serve with your favorite additions.
Top with anything! I love fruit, syrup, nuts or nut butters, powdered sugar, hemp hearts, jam, pie filling, etc. Enjoy!
💭 Angela's Pro Tips & Notes
- Use frozen waffles. This recipe is specifically designed for frozen waffles, not thawed or fresh batter.
- The more you make, the faster they cook. Take advantage of the fully heated air fryer. Additional batches will take less time.
- Don’t overload the basket. If the waffles go into the air fryer overlapping, they won’t get crispy. Make sure they are in a single, even layer.
🥡 Storing & Reheating
It’s so quick to make these, you really should only make what you’re going to eat. If you’ve overestimated, though, they’ll keep in the fridge in an airtight container or wrapped in foil for up to 3 days.
I don’t recommend re-freezing these as it will negatively affect the texture.
Reheating
Reheat in the air fryer at 400℉ (205℃) or the toaster for a few minutes until hot. Be aware that reheating a second time could dry out the waffles.
