💭 Angela's Pro Tips & Recipe Notes

  • Let your cream cheese come up to room temperature so that it is easier to spread.
  • Patting your pickles dry before using them will help the cream cheese stick.
  • You can easily add other ingredients to your roll-ups to customize them! Try adding a slice of cheddar cheese or herbs or seasonings mixed into your cream cheese.

🥡 Storing

Store your pickle roll-ups on a platter covered tightly with plastic wrap in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.

I do not recommend freezing these as the texture and consistency of both the cream cheese and pickles would change.

❓ Recipe FAQs

What Else Can I Add To My Pickle Roll Ups?

Whatever you like! Try adding in a slice of your favorite cheese, a schmear of pimento cheese, onions, or herbs. You can really get creative here!

What Type Of Meat Should I Use?

Deli-sliced ham is the most popular choice, but you could also use turkey. It can be smoked, oven-roasted, honey-glazed, or even plain. Try to use pieces that are thinly sliced so that they don't make the roll too bulky.

Can I Use A Different Kind Of Pickles?

Sure! Dill pickles are what is most commonly used, but you can swap them for your favorite variety. Try using sweet pickles, gherkins, or bread and butter pickles.
