This oven roasted brussel sprouts recipe starts with searing the fresh brussel sprouts in butter, onion, and bacon, then oven roasting them in chicken broth...the result is so mouth watering, soft, delicious, and addicting! Brussel sprouts are one of my absolute favorite vegetables, and if you don't love them as well, I firmly believe it is only because you have yet to have them cooked this perfectly.

🔪 Instructions
Oven roasting your brussel sprouts is easy, start with simply cutting up some onion, bacon, and halving about a pound of fresh brussel sprouts.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease baking dish, either a 1 qt casserole dish or 9 x 9 pan.
- Preheat large frying pan to medium high heat.
- Add 1 tablespoon butter and melt, then add ½ c diced onion and cook until starting to get translucent.
- Add bacon, cook partially (about 2 minutes).
- Add cut brussel sprouts, season with salt & pepper, and cook until starting to brown.
- Transfer onion, bacon, and brussel sprouts to greased baking dish. Add 2 cups chicken broth, or just enough to cover the layer of brussel sprouts.
- Cover with aluminum foil, bake in preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 45 minutes.
- The brussel sprouts are done when they are fork tender.
- Remove from oven and allow to cool 10 minutes before serving.
