Many recipes for cinnamon rolls make a large batch, typically about 12 or more rolls. This is great for a large group or feeding your extended family, but for a smaller crowd, it almost always ends up with leftovers.

Don't worry; those gooey and sweet cinnamon rolls won't have to go to waste. With these easy methods, you can enjoy them for breakfast any day you like.

Method 1: In The Microwave

Using the microwave for reheating cinnamon rolls is a great choice when you are in a time crunch. This is even how most coffee shops reheat cinnamon rolls in a pinch.

Make sure you avoid overheating them, though, as this will make them dry and hard (and we definitely don't want that.)

Step 1: Prepare. Get a damp paper towel and then lightly drape it over your cinnamon roll.

Step 2: Heat. Place the covered cinnamon roll onto a microwave-safe plate and heat for 20-25 seconds.

*Alternatively, you can heat your cinnamon roll in the microwave alongside a mug of water (and don't cover it with a paper towel). The heated water will keep the roll soft.

❗ Top Tip: Avoid Drying Out Cinnamon Rolls

There's nothing worse than dry and hard cinnamon rolls. To prevent this issue, you'll want to cover them with a damp paper towel before heating them in the microwave.

If using the oven or air fryer, covering them with foil is essential.

Method 2: In The Oven

Using your oven is a great way to warm up some cinnamon rolls, but it does take some extra time. However, the results are completely worth it.

Step 1: Preheat. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C/Gas Mark 4) and place your rolls into a baking dish (if they are not already in one).

Step 2: Cover. Cover the baking dish tightly with foil. *If your cinnamon rolls are not frosted, you can add a small bit of butter on top of every roll before covering.

Step 3: Heat. Heat in the oven for about 10 minutes.

Method 3: In An Air Fryer

If you happen to own an air fryer, then you already know how versatile they are. This method is fantastic if you need your cinnamon rolls reheated quickly and you are only heating up a small amount.

Step 1: Preheat. Turn on the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).

Step 2: Butter. If the cinnamon rolls do not have frosting on them, place a little bit of butter over the top of each one.

Step 3: Cover. Place the cinnamon rolls into the basket of the air fryer and cover them with foil.

Step 4: Heat. Reheat for 3-5 minutes.

Method 4: In A Frying Pan

Reheating cinnamon rolls on the stovetop creates a fun and super tasty treat. It may be a little messy, but it is still yummy.

Step 1: Preheat. Place a skillet over medium heat.

Step 2: Melt. Add some butter and let it melt.

Step 3: Cover. Place the cinnamon roll into the frying pan with the bottom side facing down and place the lid over the skillet.

Step 4: Heat. Heat for 2-3 minutes.

Method 5: In A Toaster Oven

The toaster oven works very similarly to the regular oven, but it is a great choice if you are only reheating one or two cinnamon rolls.

Step 1: Preheat. Preheat the toaster oven to 350°F (175°C).

Step 2: Cover. Wrap the cinnamon rolls tightly in aluminum foil. *If your cinnamon rolls are not frosted, you can add a small bit of butter on top of them before covering them.

Step 3: Heat. Heat for 10 minutes.

Best Methods For Reheating Cinnamon Rolls

The oven definitely yields the best results when it comes to reheating cinnamon rolls. However, the air fryer and toaster can work well, too, if you want them to be reheated quickly.

Just choose the method that is best suited to your needs and enjoy.
