This quick and easy air fryer frozen sausage links recipe whips up crispy, juicy breakfast sausages in no time at all. The perfectly crisped skin and smokey, salty flavor will keep you coming back for more. Even better, using the air fryer makes these sausage links quick, effortless, and mess-free.
Serve with hashbrown casserole and baked eggs. For sweet breakfasts, try them with my strawberry buttermilk crepes or cinnamon rolls.

The air fryer makes everything much easier in the kitchen, especially for breakfast. These air fryer breakfast sausage links are ready to eat in less than 20 minutes and taste exactly like they came out of a hot frying pan.
With hardly any cleanup needed, you’ll never want to make your sausages any other way. I used classic pork sausages this go around, but the timing and temperature work just as well for chicken sausage or turkey sausage.

🔪 How To Make Air Fryer Frozen Sausage Links
The air fryer will do all the work on this one, so sit back and relax. All you will need is your air fryer and some kitchen tongs. And maple syrup, I love having a bit of maple syrup to dip these into. 😋
This recipe makes 4 servings of breakfast sausage links.
Step 1: Preheat. To begin, preheat your air fryer to 370°F (185°C) and break apart any sausage links that are stuck together.
Step 2: Cook. Next, place the 1 pound (454 grams) of frozen sausage links in a single layer in your air fryer basket (photo 1). Cook for 12 minutes (photo 2), flipping them after 6 minutes of cooking (photo 3).
Step 3: Finish and serve. Check the sausage links (photo 4) and cook them for a few more minutes if you prefer them to be crispier. Once done, season with salt and pepper to taste and serve immediately.
💭 Angela's Pro Tips & Recipe Notes
- How to break frozen links apart. If your sausage links are really stuck together, just air fry them for 2 minutes then open the basket and break them apart. Return the basket to your air fryer and finish cooking as usual.
- Preheat for crispier sausage. If you like your sausage crispy then preheating the air fryer will yield the best results.
- Flip at the halfway point. Turn your sausage links at the halfway point to get them evenly browned.

🥡 Storing & Reheating
If you cook more sausage links than you need, you can keep the extras in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. I don't recommend putting previously frozen sausage links back in the freezer.
Reheating
just pop them back in the air fryer at 350°F (180°C) for 4-5 minutes.
❓ Are Air Fried Sausages Healthier?
Using the air fryer to cook your sausage links is one of the healthiest ways to prepare them! There is no added fat or grease and therefore (slightly) fewer calories.
❓ What Temperature Do I Cook Sausage Links In The Air Fryer?
Cook your sausages at 370°F (185°C) for 12 total minutes, flipping halfway, for frozen links. If the sausage links are not frozen, cook them at the same temperature for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway.
❓ Do I Have To Defrost Sausage Links Before Air Frying Them?
Nope. In fact, your air fryer makes them perfectly cooked and flavorful with no need to defrost.
