These easy teriyaki noodles combine fried stir-fry noodles in tasty teriyaki sauce to make the best base for many great meals. Use my homemade teriyaki sauce for the best-tasting fried noodles ever, then top with your favorite meats and veggies for satisfying Japanese noodle bowls.
Prepare stir fry noodles as instructed on package or cook pasta noodles in salted water to an al dente texture, typically 1-2 minutes shy of the time in the package instructions. Rinse and drain pasta if needed, then set aside.
14 oz stir fry noodles
Heat a wok, large skillet or non-stick frying pan to medium-high with the cooking oil.
2 tablespoon cooking oil
Once the oil is shimmering and just beginning to smoke add prepared pasta and fry for 1-2 minutes until slightly crisped and golden.
Add the teriyaki sauce and a sprinkle of ground ginger, then stir to coat evenly and cook for an additional 2 minutes stirring occasionally.
¼ teaspoon ground ginger, ½ cup teriyaki sauce
Remove from heat when done and serve immediately with optional garnish (green onion and sesame seeds).
green onion, sesame seeds
Notes
I used to be able to find yakisoba noodles in 2-packs like the hokkien noodles that I have been finding in the Asian section at my local Walmart. Either will work splendidly.
Alternatively, you can use any other long pasta. Spaghetti or linguine noodles are great in a pinch.
