Instructions
Add all ingredients to a food processor or blender and pulse until smooth and creamy.
Transfer the sauce to a bowl and cover it tightly with plastic wrap or into a mason jar with a lid. Chill for 2 hours before serving.
Use as a dip for chips or a sauce for burritos, tacos, or quesadillas.
Notes
1 pinch of anything is equal to ¹⁄₁₆ teaspoon.
When you juice 1 average lime, it will yield approximately 2 tablespoons (or 1 fluid ounce) of freshly squeezed lime juice.
Regular milk can be used in place of buttermilk if needed.
Feel free to tweak the taste of your sauce by adding in some red pepper flakes for heat or onion powder for extra flavor!
To store: This sauce should be kept in an airtight container in the refrigerator and is best enjoyed within 3-4 days. Freezing is not recommended.
