This pork roast seasoning blend is a simple homemade dry rub that will add loads of flavor to any pork recipe. You can use it on a pork loin, sirloin, tenderloin, and even ribs, rib tips, or pork chops. My easy DIY pork roast seasoning blend only requires a handful of common herbs and spices to create the perfect pork dry rub.1x recipe yields 1½ tablespoons of pork roast seasoning, before adding any optional ingredients, which can be used to season 2-3 pounds of pork. For a smaller roast, use half of a batch. It's also exceptionally easy to 2x or 3x the recipe to store for later.
Measure out all of the ingredients: 1 ½ teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon garlic powder, ½ teaspoon onion powder, ½ teaspoon paprika, ½ teaspoon dried oregano, ½ teaspoon mustard powder, ½ teaspoon ground black pepper.

Grab any of the optional ingredients: ¼ teaspoon ground thyme or dried thyme, 1 pinch cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes, or 1 tablespoon light brown sugar if desired.

Add all of the ingredients to a small bowl and mix until evenly distributed
Dry rub the seasoning into your roast or store it in a cool, dry place for later use.
This recipe will yield 1½ tablespoons of pork roast seasoning, which will easily season 2-3 pounds of pork. For a smaller roast, use half of a batch.
If you don't have ground mustard, you may use 1 tablespoon of Dijon or yellow mustard in its place. This will make it a paste that should be rubbed into the pork right away. Alternatively, you can use one of these ground mustard substitutes.
After storing your dry rub, always shake the jar before using it to redistribute all of the ingredients.
To store: Keep pork roast seasoning in an airtight jar stored in a pantry, cabinet, or somewhere dark and cool. It will last for 2-3 years if stored properly. This is also dependent on the freshness of your herbs and spices.
