Instructions
Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (195°C).
For the crispiest chicken, pat the 2 chicken leg quarters dry with paper towels and trim off any excess fat. Then, coat with 2 teaspoon olive oil.
Season the chicken legs generously on all sides with 2 teaspoon chicken seasoning and put them into the preheated air fryer basket skin-side-down.
Cook at 380°F (195°C) for 10 minutes. Then, open the air fryer basket, flip the chicken legs skin-side-up, and cook for another 10-15 minutes.
Once the chicken leg quarters have reached an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C), remove them from the air fryer and let them rest for 2-3 minutes before serving.
Notes
A 6-quart air fryer typically fits 2 large chicken leg quarters. You may be able to fit more if they are on the smaller side. Otherwise, work in batches if cooking more.
If you like your chicken legs extra crispy, you can add time in 4-minute increments until they are to your liking.
When you open your air fryer basket to check the internal temperature of your chicken, move quickly. You want as little heat to escape as possible in case they need to cook a bit longer.
To store: Let your chicken leg leftovers cool to room temperature, then place them in an airtight container or Ziploc bag and refrigerate them for up to 4 days.
To freeze: Place the cooked and cooled chicken legs into a heavy-duty freezer bag and squeeze out the air. Freeze for up to 4 months and defrost in the fridge overnight before reheating.
To reheat: The easiest way to reheat these chicken legs is the same way you made them- in your air fryer! Cook them in the air fryer at 380°F (195°C) for 10 minutes or until warmed through.
