Our whole family loves the nutty flavor of chocolate chip cookies made with almond flour, and the added flavor from the maple syrup is a perfect addition.
🥘 Ingredients
Super easy to modify this recipe for people with dietary restrictions or specialized diets like GF, Keto, Low Carb, Sugar Free, Etc.
- Almond Flour
- Coconut Oil - You can substitute butter if desired.
- Maple Syrup - You can substitute an equal amount of swerve if you want sugar free/keto/low carb friendly cookies.
- Almond Extract - Go with organic if you can for the extracts.
- Vanilla Extract
- Baking Soda
- Baking Powder
- Salt - Pink Himalayan Salt is amazing in this cookie.
- Chocolate Chips (milk chocolate or dark chocolate) You can substitute Lily's dark chocolate chips if you want sugar free/keto/low carb friendly cookies. Also dairy free options are available.
🔪 Instructions
Grab a mixing bowl and start adding ingredients, then drop these cookies onto your baking sheet for a sweet treat. These almond flour chocolate chip cookies really are pretty much as quick and easy as that, another reason to just love them!
Allow these cookies to cool completely on the baking sheet after baking, but we can't wait to enjoy them too long so that's usually only about 15 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) .
- Line your baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium mixing bowl, or the bowl of your stand mixer, combine all of the ingredients except for the chocolate chips: almond flour, coconut oil, maple syrup, almond and vanilla extracts (or use 1 teaspoon either almond or vanilla extract), baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- Add chocolate chips and stir to combine until the chocolate chips are evenly distributed.
- Drop the cookie dough in heaping teaspoonfuls onto the parchment paper lined baking sheet about 2 inches apart.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10-12 minutes, or until nicely browned around the edges.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely on the baking sheet as cookies will be crumbly while warm.

- *Standard sized cookies yield a dozen per recipe at about 220 calories a piece, at 15 cookies per recipe the calorie count is roughly 175 per cookie.

Hello! These are very good!! I've made them twice and they satisfy that sweet I crave each evening. It doesn't say how many cookies are considered a serving.....please tell me it's 2?! 🙂 Seriously, I would like to know since I am trying to stay within a certain amount of carbs/sugar each day.

I updated the recipe page with the latest version of our nutrition info, it is 220 kcal/cookie (the almond flour and coconut oil are high in calories, sub coconut flour and applesauce for a lighter version) plus we will be adding alot more healthy(er and ish) desserts in the coming year so we hope to see you back here for more soon!
