💭 Angela's Tips & Recipe Notes
- Normal bacon ranges between 4-6 minutes, depending on microwave strength. Thick-cut bacon (like what I used) ranges from 5-to 7 minutes and can benefit from a double layer of paper towels beneath the bacon.
- This recipe will work with turkey bacon but turkey bacon cooks faster. Start with 2 minutes on high and increase the duration 1 minute at a time if needed.
- If you are out of paper towels, place a microwave-safe bowl over a microwave-safe plate. Drape your bacon over the top of the bowl and cook as directed. All of the grease will run down the bowl and get caught by the plate, and your bacon will still be wonderfully crispy.
- Storing: Leftover bacon can be sealed in a storage bag or Tupperware and refrigerated for up to 5 days. Microwave for 30-45 seconds to reheat (depending on how much bacon you are reheating).
