Gourmet S'mores pin with trio of images and text header.

Gourmet s'mores are a classic treat whether you are sitting around the campfire at a campsite or around the fire pit in your backyard! Here are 3 different kinds of s'mores that still feature a perfectly gooey roasted marshmallow, but also some unique ingredients that will make s'mores like you've never had before!

    3 Kinds of Gourmet S'mores!

No matter your age, there is nothing better than a ridiculously gooey fire-roasted marshmallow sandwiched between crispy graham crackers and nice chunk of a chocolate bar. Unless, of course, you take your s'mores game up a notch.

These gourmet s'mores combine some favorite flavors in a new twist on the classic campfire s'more. You can even put together a fun s'mores bar for all of your campers to assemble their own custom creations!

    🥘 Ingredients

To make these tasty treats as easy as possible, they combine store-bought components with the exception of the roasted berries. If you lay out the ingredients like a 'build your own s'mores' bar, you could even mix and match!

    Roasted Berries S'mores

    • Stroopwafels - 16 stroopwafel cookies.
    • Hershey's Bars - 4 1.55-ounce Hershey's bars with 4 chocolate squares per s'more.
    • S'mores Marshmallows - 8 Roasted jumbo marshmallows (also called "giant roasters").
    • Roasted Berries - See recipe. About 1 cup of roasted berries with 2 tablespoons per s'more (more or less can be used if desired.)

    Chocolate Covered Strawberries S'mores

    • Chocolate Graham Crackers - 8 chocolate graham crackers broken in half.
    • Strawberries - ¾ cup of sliced strawberries.
    • S'mores Marshmallows - 8 Roasted jumbo marshmallows (also called "giant roasters").
    • Ghirardelli Chocolate Sauce - About ¼ cup of chocolate sauce with roughly  ½ a tablespoon per s'more.

    Samoa S'mores

    • Fudge Stripe Cookies - 16 fudge stripe cookies, the Keebler brand is the most common, but some stores have their own store brand.
    • Salted Caramel - 8 teaspoons of salted caramel for drizzling, roughly 1 teaspoon per s'more.
    • Toasted Coconut - ¼ cup of toasted coconut (*see note), roughly a ½ tablespoon per s'more.
    • S'mores Marshmallows - 8 Roasted jumbo marshmallows (also called "giant roasters").

*Be sure to see the recipe card below for ingredients, amounts & instructions!*

    🔪 Instructions

Each type of s'more comes down to layering the ingredients and closing them up! It's as simple as that!

    Roasted Berry Smores

    1. Build s'mores. Lay out 8 of the 16 stroopwafel cookies and break each of the 4 Hershey's bars in half so you are left with 8 squares of 4. On each stroopwafel, place the chocolate square, then add the roasted marshmallow. (*see note)
    2. Close. Divide the 1 cup of roasted berries between each s'more and spoon it over the marshmallow. Close with a second stroopwafel.

    Chocolate Covered Strawberries S'mores

    1. Build s'mores. Break 8 chocolate graham crackers in half and lay them out. Divide the ¾ cup strawberries equally and place them on the bottom half of the graham cracker. Top the strawberries with the the 8 roasted marshmallows.
    2. Close. Drizzle ¼ cup Ghirardelli chocolate sauce evenly over each of the marshmallows and close with the second half of the graham cracker.

    Samoa S'mores

    1. Build s'mores. Lay out 16 fudge stripe cookies. On 8 of the cookies, drizzle 8 teaspoons of salted caramel (1 teaspoon per cookie). Evenly sprinkle your ¼ cup of toasted coconut over the top. (*see note).
    2. Close. Top each of the 8 cookies with a roasted marshmallow and close the s'mores with the remaining 8 cookies.

Try one or try them all! Make sure you have lots of napkins handy because there are sure to be some messy fingers. Enjoy!

    💭 Tips & Notes

    • Stroopwafels aren't as uncommon as you'd think! You can find the stroopwafel cookies by the Pepperidge Farms cookies in most grocery stores.
    • Toasting your own coconut is simple! You can toast shredded sweetened coconut in a skillet, even over a campfire.  Keep it off the direct heat and stir until golden, or over medium heat if toasting the coconut on the stovetop.
    • It's no surprise these aren't a diet food. The nutritional information on this recipe card is for all of the s'mores and would not be accurate for 1 smore as the nutritional values vary for each type.
    • Enjoy your s'mores in the moment! They are best when they are fresh and the marshmallow is still warm.
