This super easy Cajun dipping sauce is so versatile and flavorful that you'll want to dunk everything in it. It's one of my family's favorite condiments for practically anything.
It's tasty on everything from chicken to shrimp to french fries. Move on over ketchup; this is bound to be your new favorite condiment!
🥘 Ingredients
- Sour Cream - Use full-fat sour cream for the best flavor.
- Mayonnaise - I recommend Hellman's or Duke's brands, or you can try some homemade mayonnaise.
- Cajun Seasoning - Try my homemade Cajun seasoning blend, or use your favorite kind.
- Lemon Juice - You can use fresh or store-bought lemon juice.
- Hot Sauce - Use your favorite kind.
- Garlic Powder - A small amount of garlic powder adds flavor.

🔪 How To Make Cajun Dipping Sauce
All you have to do is mix the ingredients and chill. You will need a mixing bowl, a rubber spatula (or spoon), and plastic wrap.
This recipe makes just over 2 cups of sauce or about 32 tablespoons. The nutritional information is calculated using 4 tablespoons per serving.
Step 1: Combine ingredients. Add all the ingredients to a small or medium mixing bowl (1½ cups (345 grams) of sour cream, ½ cup (112 grams) of mayonnaise, 1 tablespoon of Cajun seasoning, 2 teaspoons of lemon juice, 1 teaspoon of hot sauce, and ¼ teaspoon of garlic powder).
Step 2: Stir. Mix until evenly distributed.
Step 3: Chill (optional). Cover with cling wrap and chill for at least 2 hours before serving.

The great thing about this sauce is you can control the heat with your choice of hot sauce. Something like Louisiana, Tapatio, Cholula, or Frank's Red Hot will make your sauce more tangy and zesty than spicy. You can always opt for something with more heat if you prefer!
