Chicken wings are one of our go-to appetizers for any occasion, and this Apricot Sriracha Glazed Chicken Wings Recipe offers a uniquely sweet but spicy flavor on a popular favorite!
Adjust the sriracha up or down to suit your taste (and family particulars) but the amount included in the recipe below was given two thumbs up when entertaining our daughter's best friend this weekend. So, 9 and 10-year-olds approve and both mom and dad agree that it is a pleasant but not overpowering amount of heat.
Without further ado, we present you with 'Havanna's Chicken Wings'.
My helpers preheated the oven to 400 degrees F (204 degrees C) and we lined our baking sheet with parchment paper. Then we gathered up the ingredients starting with apricot preserves, sriracha, and maple syrup for the glaze. We spaced out the 2 lbs of chicken wings and I let the girls season them with salt and pepper. They mixed the glaze up and coated the chicken with on both sides, then I stepped to handle putting the chicken wings in the oven.
After baking the glazed chicken wings for 30 minutes, we pulled the baking sheet out and everyone helped to add more glaze on the chicken. We then returned the chicken to the oven and finished baking them for another 15 minutes. No accompanying sauce is needed when enjoying these tangy treats!
