If you are working with links instead of patties, I also have easy instructions on cooking frozen sausage links in the air fryer!

🥘 Ingredients

You don't need oil, seasoning, or anything besides the sausage! Just grab a bag of your favorite frozen sausage patties next time you are at the store.

  • Sausage Patties - 4 to 6 frozen sausage patties of any variety.
  • Salt & Pepper - Completely optional and to taste! I love maple syrup with any breakfast sausage!

*Be sure to see the recipe card below for ingredients, amounts & instructions!*

🔪 How To Cook Air Fryer Frozen Sausage Patties

This method is practically fool-proof, all you have to do is open the basket and flip the patties. You just need an air fryer and some tongs!

2-3 patties are considered a single serving. You can easily scale this recipe up to make more, but don't crowd your air fryer basket.

Process image 2 showing frozen sausage patties flipped over in the air fryer.
  1. Prep. Place 4-6 frozen sausage patties in a single layer in your air fryer basket.
  2. Cook and flip. Cook at 400°F (205°C) for 5 minutes, then flip and cook for 3-4 minutes more (*see note).
  3. Serve. Carefully remove sausage patties from air fryer and serve immediately.

Sausage patties are the perfect complement to any breakfast, especially sour cream scrambled eggs. You could even use them in the middle of a homemade breakfast sandwich! Enjoy!

💭 Angela's Pro Tips & Recipe Notes

  • All air fryer models are different, so cooking time may vary slightly.
  • Do not thaw your frozen sausage patties before cooking them in the air fryer. This recipe is intended for them to be frozen.
  • If you prefer your sausage more brown, add 1-2 minutes to the cook time.
  • Do not use non-stick cooking spray in the basket of your air fryer. The aerosol in the spray will degrade the non-stick coating, as will leaving it soaking in water overnight.
  • To store: In an airtight container, leftover patties can be refrigerated for 3-4 days.
  • To reheat: Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for 2-3 minutes per side, or until warmed to your satisfaction.

❓ What Should I Serve With Air Fryer Frozen Sausage Patties?

Sausage patties pair well with any classic breakfast recipes! Good old' fashioned buttermilk pancakes, scrambled eggs, and some hash brown patties are my go-to.

❓ Are Frozen Sausage Patties Pre-Cooked?

Frozen sausage patties are pre-cooked, but you should still aim for them to reach an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).

❓ How Long Do I Cook Frozen Sausage Patties In The Air Fryer?

I generally cook my patties at  400°F (205°C) for 5 minutes, then flip and cook an additional 3-4 minutes. You could add 1-2 minutes if you like your sausages browned more.
