This easy-to-make DIY prime rib seasoning blend combines herbs and spices that are always a great flavor pairing with beef. Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoon Kosher salt
  • 2 tablespoon coarse ground pepper
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • ½ tablespoon ground sage
  • ½ tablespoon dried rosemary
  • ½ tablespoon dried thyme
  • ½ tablespoon smoked paprika (or regular paprika)
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  • In a small bowl combine all ingredients.
    3 tablespoon Kosher salt, 2 tablespoon coarse ground pepper, 1 tablespoon garlic powder, ½ tablespoon ground sage, ½ tablespoon dried rosemary, ½ tablespoon dried thyme, ½ tablespoon smoked paprika, 1 teaspoon dried oregano, 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • If not using right away, transfer to a airtight container.
  • Rub over prime rib, cook, and enjoy!

Notes

This prime rib rub yields just over a ½ cup of seasoning. Use ¼ cup per 5-6 pound portion of your prime rib.
