Instructions
Shuck 2-3 ears corn if you haven't already, and place them in a microwave-safe bowl with a lid.
Add 2-3 tablespoon water to the bowl and place the lid (or a microwave-safe plate, or plastic wrap) over the top.
Microwave for 5-6 minutes or until the kernels reach your desired level of tenderness.
Equally divide 1 ½ tablespoon butter amongst the corn cobs and season with ¼ teaspoon each, salt & pepper to taste. Serve right away.
Notes
2-3 ears of corn take 5-6 minutes in the microwave. Add another 1-2 minutes of cook time for each additional ear of corn after that.
If you prefer to leave the husk on, you can place the corn directly in the microwave without water and microwave for 7-8 minutes for 3 ears of corn (about 4 minutes for 1 corn cob).
If you don't have a microwave-safe bowl, simply wrap the shucked corn cobs with a damp paper towel. Microwave for 6-7 minutes for 3 ears of corn (between 3-5 minutes for 1 corn cob).
To store: Your extra corn cobs can be refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
To reheat: Reheat in the microwave in 30-second increments until warmed to your satisfaction.
