Instructions
Place a large frying pan over medium-high heat and cook 4 slices Canadian bacon for 1-2 minutes per side. Then, set it aside.
Meanwhile, while the Canadian bacon is cooking, split open each of the 4 English muffins and toast them in the toaster (you can add 1 tablespoon of the 4 tablespoon butter per English Muffin if you like).
Add 4 large eggs to your frying pan, making sure that they don't touch. Gently break the yolk and cook the eggs for 2 minutes per side.
When the eggs are almost done cooking, place each of the 4 slices American cheese onto each egg and let them melt.
Place a piece of cooked Canadian bacon onto the bottom of the English muffin followed by the egg and the top of the muffin.
Serve your egg McMuffin immediately or wrap them in aluminum foil for a simple on-the-go breakfast.
Notes
To make the eggs perfectly round, you can cook the eggs in an egg ring or use mason jar canning lids with the screw side facing up (spritzed with nonstick cooking spray).
If you do not have a toaster, you can highly butter both pieces of the English muffin and brown them in the frying pan, oven, or toaster oven - an air fryer will even do the trick to make a crispy barrier for your sandwich.
Add some crispy bacon to really take this breakfast to the next level!
To store: Store any leftover egg McMuffins by wrapping them in foil and placing them into an airtight container. Store in the fridge for up to 3-4 days.
To freeze: These are perfect for a make-ahead breakfast! Once wrapped individually in foil, place the McMuffins into an airtight bag or container and freeze them for up to a month.
To reheat: You can reheat your breakfast sandwiches (either frozen or thawed) in the microwave for 30-60 seconds. You may need an additional 30 seconds if they were frozen.
