Instructions
Pour your oil into a deep fryer or large saucepan and heat it to 375°F (190°C).
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, pepper, cayenne pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. In a separate, small bowl, whisk together the egg and milk.
Dip each of your chicken strips into the egg mixture and then roll it in the seasoning and flour mixture. Repeat the process a second time so that all of the pieces of chicken have two coats. Then, transfer the chicken pieces to the fridge and allow them to chill for 20 minutes.
Once the oil is hot and the chicken is done chilling, fry the pieces in batches so that you do not overcrowd the pot. Cook the chicken for 5-6 minutes, or until they are golden in color and the internal temperature reads 165°F (74°C).
Place the chicken into a large bowl and toss with your preferred wing sauce, then serve immediately.
