Sticky toffee pudding, also called sticky date pudding, is truly one of the best desserts ever! It’s a super moist date cake that’s covered in an incredible toffee sauce and served warm.

Ingredients Pudding 12 oz dates  1 ½ teaspoon baking soda ¾ cup water (boiling) 9 tablespoon butter  1 ⅛ cups light brown sugar  3 large eggs  1 ½ teaspoon baking powder 1 pinch salt 1 ⅞ cups all-purpose flour  Toffee Sauce 1 ½ cups butter 3 cups light brown sugar (packed) ⅔ cup heavy cream ⅓ cup light corn syrup ½ teaspoon salt 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Soften the dates.

Add butter & brown sugar.

Cream together butter & brown sugar.

Add egg.

Mix.

Add the dry ingredients.

Combine.

Chop or puree the dates.

Pureed dates.

Add the puree to the batter.

Combine.

Fill 9x13 & bake @ 350°F 30 minutes.

Allow to cool while you make the toffee sauce.
