Soften the dates.

Add butter & brown sugar.

Cream together butter & brown sugar.

Add egg.

Mix.

Add the dry ingredients.

Combine.

Chop or puree the dates.

Pureed dates.

Add the puree to the batter.

Combine.

Fill 9x13 & bake @ 350°F 30 minutes.

Allow to cool while you make the toffee sauce.
