    🥘 Ingredients

Other than those fresh mushrooms in your fridge, you only need a few items to get these mushrooms cooking! Grab a bowl and your air fryer to get them started!

Overhead ingredient photo showing mushrooms, seasoning, and olive oil.
    • Mushrooms -16 ounces of white button mushrooms, you can also use cremini/baby bella mushrooms.
    • Olive Oil - 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil or any neutral-flavored oil with a high smoke point.
    • Seasoning - ½ teaspoon each of salt and pepper, ¼ teaspoon each of garlic powder and onion powder.

*Be sure to see the recipe card below for ingredients, amounts & instructions!*

Process photo 2 showing halved mushrooms in the air fryer basket before air frying.
Process photo 3 showing mushrooms in the air fryer basket after air frying.
    1. Prep your mushrooms. Use a damp towel to clean your mushrooms (this prevents soggy mushrooms!) then slice large mushrooms into halves or quarters. Make sure that all of your mushrooms are relatively the same size so that they air fry evenly.
    2. Coat and toss mushrooms. Transfer the mushrooms into a bowl then coat with olive oil (EVOO) and seasoning (salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder) as well as any optional ingredients you'd like. *See Notes.
    3. Add to basket and air fry. Arrange the seasoned mushrooms in a single layer (work in batches if needed) in your air fryer basket. Air fry at 400°F (205°C) for 10 minutes. Be sure to shake the basket of mushrooms at least once while cooking, then continue air frying until the mushrooms have reached your desired level of tenderness and crispiness.
    4. Serve. Remove from your air fryer and serve immediately.

Perfectly tender and crisp air fryer mushrooms are an easy side dish to serve with so many meals! Try mixing them with my air fryer asparagus. Pair them with your favorite steak like my pan seared ribeye and some steakhouse creamed spinach! Enjoy!

    💭 Angela's Tips & Recipe Notes

    • Season your mushrooms with your favorite blends! I love our Cajun seasoning or herbes de provence for some varied flavor profiles.
    • Add a splash of Worcestershire sauce, balsamic vinegar, or soy sauce when coating the mushrooms with oil for other various flavor combinations.
